The site is a steep 25 m drop woodland and remnants of agricultural terraces that were abandoned. It is a basin which drains a considerable amount of water during the winter. The slope directs the water through the site and beyond. In our approach, we were careful to preserve the general woodland quality of the site. The orchards are terraces inserted where possible. The site being a seasonal water stream, we based the landscape concept on that feature: a rock garden directs the water towards a rain garden that allows for percolation. Within that garden, a promenade leads the visitor from the house towards the lower terraces. The architecture is concealed under green roofs.
